Confirmation is one of the seven sacraments in the Catholic Church, considered a sacrament of initiation alongside Baptism and the Eucharist. It plays a crucial role in the life of a Catholic by strengthening and deepening the grace received at Baptism. Confirmation completes the grace of Baptism by a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This strengthens the individual in their commitment to the faith and empowers them to live as mature Christians.
